We appreciate the idea, but we are trying to keep things non intrusive for those using the trading post sections. It would also probably cost more than it would generate and cause us to lose member base. We are trying to grow after all!

After quite the year, we are working on numerous significant updates for the forum that are long needed. We have updated to the latest forum software to ensure continued stability, and with it you see a fresh new look. Along with this we are working with Facebook on reapproving Facebook Logins for users. As always Tapatalk is still available as another option to access the forum. On the note of forum updates and web hosting. This site has a significant volume of traffic, and as such isn't free to operate. We are looking to solicit donations from the members for the continued existence of the forum. The software is approximately 80 dollars a year to keep updated, and hosting is roughly 100 dollars a month if not paid in full for 1-2 years at a time. For the last 5 years this has been provided for personally by the Founding Staff of MGT. As such, in the coming days and weeks you will see likely see a donation button appear. This will help us continue to provide the user experience you are used to while using our forum. We would also like to purchase and enable additional features, to be announced at a later date. Your continued support is greatly appreciated, and we have never solicited donations in the past. We would also like to minimize placing advertisements on the website. With that being stated, we would like to reach out to the member base and solicit ideas to improve the site and increase membership interaction. Given the current political climate with Facebook and other social media websites, we would like to make a push and start moving discussions from the facebook page to the forum. We know it isn't as convenient as Facebook itself. However we continue to have posts deleted without administrator or member input by Facebook's moderation team. We want to continue to have the discussions and interactions with local gun owners we have for the last nine years. Next year, (Jun 6th 2022) will be our 10 year anniversary of creating the group.
