I'm selling a Wilson Combat firearm, and they put their name into it. Are they trying to steal a sale from me? Are they trying to steal sales from everybody as they are putting their ads into every for sale ad, it looks like. Please don't compare Aegis to Manasota Gun Lawyer. MGL inserts ads too, but he is not competition. I complained, and it was removed. Thank you, Administrators, for your promptness. Now, why are you allowing this to happen? This is a blatant attempt to steal customers from those attempting to sell a firearm. Aegis is not going to steal a Wilson Combat customer from me...what switch them to a Kahr? Nothing wrong with a Kahr, just in a different league. But a guy selling a Glock? I would be pissed. I think that this practice needs to stop. Medic94 Posted June 14, 2016 Report Share Posted June 14, 2016 They are added in automatically to certain forums. It is a mostly site-wide feature at this time we are trialing as administrators. No one is trying to steal your sale, and no one is going to cold contact you regarding the advertisement. Apologies for the late reply. Years ago in college, I took Marketing 101. In my day, we called it guerrilla advertising. Very low, very cheap & very desperate advertising. It is also very effective. I told you the other day we would work on this it's not an over night fix. We did not have 250000.00 to write our own software. And at this point I'm paying all the bills out of my pocket and Garrett is volunteering his time. I understand your concerns and told you I would address it.. JMO Well Jeff can charge a membership here but he is paying out of pocket for Web Server and SSL Cert, But he can also Charge members a fee or % to list items for sale here as well.
